Talking about the draft there should be an opportunity to trade into the top of the second round. The Hornets have two picks there. The Nets have one as well but they also have way to many first, and the 76ers are there and they might legitimately not want to take a guaranteed contract.
Of the guys Pursiainen mentioned the Knicks brought in Adou and Pierre, I think Pierre fits the Knicks more.
Evaluating Adou Thiero's breakthrough junior season and NBA value for the 2025 NBA Draft and beyond.

Adou is the best defensive wing in the draft but his 3 pt shot is cooked. It could be a situation where you wonder could he bring it together like Dunn did, but based on what I know about he Knicks drafting, they don’t like drafting non shooters unless it’s a center. Him playing for Calipari makes me wonder if bringing him in was a favor, cause he doesn’t fit what the Knicks are trying to do.
Following in the footsteps of Ben Sheppard (2023), Dylan Windler (2019), and Joe Gaines (1972), could Jonathan Pierre become the fourth prospect ever drafted from Belmont?

Pierre meanwhile fits what the Knicks look for in their draft picks the ability to shoot, pass, and defend. He’s older which is something else they tend to prefer. The biggest knock against him is he is both older at 22 and a late bloomer. He transferred to Memphis and was supposed to play well under Penny and Penny didn’t play him And wasted a year of his eligibility.
If the Knicks want either they are gonna likely have to move to the front of the second round.
