Doubt that. Kings had big aspirations to start the year.

I read an article that stated Brown is obsessive about the little things and Ellis plays a risky defensive style (he’s a strong defensive playmaker) so that could have led to lack of trust and benchings. Additionally there was depth at that position with vets so the young guy seemed to be the odd man out. Unfortunately that’s the politics of the league.
Once again, unfortunately I'm a Kings fan. I follow that dumpster fire. Logical decision making does not apply to that franchise.

IIRC didn't he get axed because he dared suggest DeRozan come off the bench(which is his role now on a successful NBA team)?

Couple days after that story leaked he was gone

That's what's speculated. His firing never made sense to me.

The previous GM didn't even address the firing until AFTER they traded for LaVine. They let Fox be the fall guy. It was disgusting.

Brown’s defining trait comes in his attention to detail. He is notoriously organized. After he picks up his mail at home, he stacks up the envelopes, dividing each into different categories before opening them. His office is always “immaculate,” said Warriors assistant Bruce Fraser, who overlapped with Brown for six seasons in Golden State.
He color codes his plays, often carrying various pens — a red one, a blue one, a black one, etc. — so that he can diagram them as clearly as possible. When he was with the Warriors, he would categorize pens in his locker by their colors. Just to mess with him, other coaches would switch them around, removing a red pen from its intuitive group and place it among the blues. Brown would notice quickly and restore order.

Impressive level of OCD. Finals or bust. The East hasn't been this open in decades

Indeed.

You called this one. He worth it for us?

Man yes. If the Knicks get him they had a great offseason.

He would be a great back up to Mitch I don’t trust Huk back there cause he is a bit injury prone. He’s not IHart but he is a legit backup center.

He ain't wrong at all tho. Mike Brown is gonna lean on his starters. Might not be as extreme as Thibs but they're still gonna play big minutes. I mentioned this in here before the hiring was officially announced.
If it isnt as much as thibs, thats all that matters. We are top heavy so the starters should be getting a lot of burn...they just shouldnt be playin 44 minutes on a random wednesday night game vs the hornets. And the starters shouldnt be gettin pulled with 30 seconds left in a february game against the Jazz when we been up by 30 since the third quarter.

. If Mike Brown can bring a more free flowing offense and a defense that doesnt give up open threes on every play..then we are good
