I understand getting smashed by Boston but getting destroyed by a team we destroyed 2 years ago is unacceptable.
Sad reality is, the gap between the top two in the East and the Knicks is greater than the gap between the Knicks and the 8th seed.

This is the problem with the Towns trade. Knicks really don’t have a move left that makes them true title contenders. Hope ain’t a strategy. Boston and Cleveland are markedly better.

These are not the same rosters from then, and Cleveland has an entirely different coach. Idk why you're using two years ago to set an expectation for now.
It's a new team from last season, so I'm willing to give them time to gel and we're not fully healthy and I still think there are improvements we can make in the off-season to round out the roster. So I'm not counting them out for the long haul.
But for this season, I don't see any pathway they can beat the Cavs or Celtics barring a major injury. I hope to be proven wrong.
