I gave Kat a lot of leeway cuz he became a Knick but every issue I had with him from his time in Minny just been shining bright.
Trade him first chance you get, can’t take his bullshyt anymore.

The KAT struggles are interesting because who do you blame for that? He’s currently 2-13 in this series from three. Do yiu blame KAT for his horrific shooting or do you blame Thibs for the fact KAT has only taken 13 threes in 5 games which means he can’t get into rhythm.
After watching what Finch has gotten out of Julius 13 threes made in 5 games I’m starting to believe Thibs is just not maximizing KAT to his full ability.

Thibs is definitely holding KAT back but he can’t be this much of a setup player to the point he’s a liability.
Mikal is someone I damn near defended like Jon Snow at the battle of basterds when the talk all season was he can’t create his own shot, etc and even he has shown he can get buckets without help.
KAT turns 30 this year and he had these issues last year in the playoffs, to the point he scored less than 20 three times in the WCF. Something’s gotta give.

I don't care if you want to blame the player, the coach, or the refs; a star player should never have five fouls in a single quarter. There are a multitude of reasons that it pretty much never happens.

Seems to me he was shooting more 3s in the RS, but then he hurt his hand (don't remember in which game it was, somewhere in february or march iirc) on a dunk attempt and has shot less since.
I looked at the fouls that were called on Brunson via NBA.com. 2 of them were very questionable, especially the one with White hitting him in the face that was challenged.
But it was Brown's flop call on KAT that sparked that doomful 11-0 run.
Also, Thibs is going to either have to sit play Deuce or Mitch more over Hart because Kornet had all those blocks because he was camped in the paint because the Celtics will live with Hart attempting long range shots.
However, I highly doubt Kornet has another career game again ever. And the Knicks need to pick up White & Pritchard full court. A few of those 3s in the 2nd half was because their man lost them (I'm looking at you, Brunson & Hart) which is inexcusable.
The only thing that is alarming to me is OG was looking fatigued. Almost all his shots looked off.
I feel like KAT’s 3 attempts have hardly been clean though. Most have been bad or highly contested deep 3’s.
Yes he was wide open for it, but the one he made yesterday at the top of the key was the cleanest he’s seen in a while.
I just want to see him be more aggressive in the paint. Finish strong.
