Nah bro, that Randle extension makes that whole trade look bad. They thought Randle wanted like $40 mil and he took like $30.

They fukked up and no one noticed because were focused on finding a new coach. They could have thrown money at Daniel Theis or some other rim running body and Theis/Sims/Huk would have held it down until Mitch got back.

Hire Mike Brown (respectable) and bring in a few decent guys and the drop off at least regular season wise won’t be significant if any at all another year of chemistry for the team+weakened East. The core of the team remains strong.

The effects of firing Thibs will moreso be felt down the line than next season imo.

The trade was a neutral trade for both teams maybe slight edge Knicks both filled what they felt they needed both were in the conference finals.

Maxing out Mikal if it happens and trading 5 picks for him is worse he’s nowhere near that caliber of player.

Also don’t give @ISO any props until we actually see if the FO can’t finesse their way out of this. It’s looking bad, but Shams is reporting most the stories and we know he and Klutch are doing a hit job on the Knicks cause they lack access.
