Low-key this is an indictment of the Randle trade way more than an issue with the coach. I get the fact Randle was really inconsistent in the playoffs but that skill set is what we needed on this team more than KAT. The fukked up part is just off the top of the dome I can’t think of a way to get that type of player cause that skill set and the “height” needed to play next to Brunson won’t come cheap.

It might be a good idea to bring in Simmons. He cause shoot but maybe you put him under the basket and see what it looks like with KAT out at the 3 pt line or the top of the baseline.

It’s Randle and Draymond. That’s about it.

I wouldn’t mind experimenting with Ben in the Josh Hart role. The more I think about it the more I need to see it. Josh’s lack of height made him not a threat at the rim even though he was a decent enough finisher. Ben would need to match Josh’s hustle which may be a tall ask…

It could be a small forward or a SG too though. They need another ballhandler with size. Mikal maybe could do it but I don’t think that is his game.

Of what’s available, Simmons is probably the best option no, that gives you a defender and a secondary ball handler. Unless you plan on playing through KAT like he’s Jokic light.

Worst Knicks post I've read in a while... horrible on all counts :coffee:

Ben Simmons is cooked physically and mentally. He's not even remotely aggressive enough to play that role, dude does not even look at the hoop. Defenses are going to help off of him even worse than they do Hart and he's completely useless if he doesn't have the ball in his hands. At least Hart is an adept offensive rebounder.
