Had this drunken weekend discussion with a Cavs fan:
I think the playoffs over the last 4 years have been enough to stake a valid claim that Jalen Brunson > Donovan Mitchell

Their comeback was that if Brunson guarded Mitchell in a series, it'd be advantage Mitchell. But I say, Brunson's won two head to heads with Mitchell and gotten farther in every postseason for four consecutive seasons. That's on top of Brunson having comparable production.

It’s tough cause Mitchell is such a significantly better defender than Brunson that you’d think any advantage Brunson has on offense is a wash but Brunson just seems to will his teams in a way Mitchell hasn’t been able to. If you want to call it clutch or whatever intangible you want, Brunson has it in spades.

I honestly don't think it's debatable. Brunson is better.

man i'm not a fan of the mike brown hire or who he is hiring as assistants lol he gets a clean slate and a fair chance like every other coach we get, but just felt like we coulda done better.
