Yo the other day on IG they were saying we had our eyes on this young center who was dunking/blocking everything in the G-League, but I don't remember his name. IIRC he had a stint with the Lakers. Did we end up signing him

Pacome Dadiet is the most likely trade candidate for the New York Knicks, per @JLEdwardsIII

“ Talking to people in the league as of late, the name I keep hearing most is 20-year-old Pacôme Dadiet. I’ve gathered that the Knicks are entering camp with the idea of keeping Brogdon and Shamet, both of whom are on non-guaranteed deals, for the regular-season roster. That could change depending on how they perform, but that’s the vibe I’ve gotten. To keep both, the Knicks would have to make a trade. Given Dadiet’s age, size (6-8, 210) and projected profile if his development shakes out, he has more value around the league than the likes of youngsters Tyler Kolek or Ariel Hukporti, according to people I’ve spoken with. That is why if the Knicks want to make room for the two veterans, trading Dadiet makes the most sense. I can’t imagine it would be for more than a second-round pick, but some league executives I’ve spoken with think his value is higher than that of Kolek or Hukporti.”

I feel like there's been a weird "sell Dadiet" push this offseason. They were talking about his practice analytics and stuff that nobody gets to see, because nothing we saw was particularly promising. His upside is entirely speculative.

My real theory for why he's the most likely out the door is that he has the highest cap hit :manny:

Any chance Brogdon asks out of his deal to go to Houston now that FVV is done for the year?

Houston can’t sign anybody right now. The only player they can trade is Tari Eason and Houston seems high on him

These are the dangers of those new tax aprons. I'm pretty sure the Rockets are over the first apron and that's why they're stuck. Russell Westbrook is sitting right there and they can't add him.
