Season 1 is certainly flawed but overall pretty damn good. I'm expecting Season 2 to be an improvement. We shall see.

The white dude playing Takeshi was lowkey annoying, but I was able to get past it due to the show being really good. It's gonna be dope having Anthony Mackie as Takeshi.

first season started off strong and then that storyline with his sister got stale imo. hopefully this one with Mackie is more consistent.

Mackie can be such a wooden actor though. The problem is that now they've established Takeshi as a character. Mackie can't have his "own" take. It doesn't work like that. He'll have to mimic certain mannerisms and tics to convince us this is the same guy in a new sleeve.

yep good point but the other white guy was wooden also. takeshi(Asian guy) wasn't shown enough imo for people to compare him to Mackie. I think people are gonna compare Mackie to the white guy(joel I think) more.

and why did they change over to Mackie in the first place? the other guy wasn't bad at all in the role.

That's how it is in the books. He doesn't keep that body. Also it would have been wild flagrant if Takeshi kept Ryker's body since his stack was still alive and he was Ortega's boyfriend in the first place.

white guy made Tekashi so brooding and brash. But maybe he turned that why after losing everything. Mackie take will be interesting. Now that he is involved my girl ain’t ever going to watch it lol she loathes him.
