kinda relevant. if we manage to crush trump and trumpism in this election, i wonder if this is where that party heads

i dont know if the rethugs can afford to double down on MAGA II :mjlol:

Hogan isn't going anywhere lol. Trump voters will still make up 90% of the Republican Party even if he loses this year.

They aren't going to nominate some "RINO" fatso to be their President. Josh Hawley is probably top dog #1 for 2024 (whether Trump wins re-election or not) :mjlol:.

If it wasn't for Trump, Cruz would have won the GOP nomination in 2016.

Trump stole everything from Cruz and made him his b!tch :laff:

If Arnold Schwarzenegger could legally run for President do you think he would have had a shot at the Presidency?

I feel like Cruz had his shot in 2016, feel like he's barely mentioned in the age of Trump

Even before Trump, no one liked Ted Cruz in the Senate. Though I will admit, he did have the most leverage to win the Nomination. Then before Ted knew what was going on, Trump said that his father was in on the JFK Assassination and not only did Trump overtake Cruz, but you can make a case that Cruz's career was destroyed by Trump.

I mean I follow politics lightly, but Ted Cruz really has gone ice cold considering how GOP still runs the Senate.

Ted Cruz was unpopular within the Senate because he was essentially the politician-version of Donald Trump. Cruz is corrupt, slimy and based his entire Senate career on attacking President Obama. He shutdown the government in 2013 for no other reason than to "stick it" to Obama. Cruz was the King of the Culture Wars.

Trump came around, amplified the culture war battle times a million and stole Cruz's thunder. Cruz is a Rethuglican he had no choice but to become a bootlicker for Trump or else he would lose re-election.

the black cat is my crown...
I wish the election was tomorrow so we can just end this nightmare. To think there's still 4 months to go :mindblown:
uh... we might have four years and four months left to go... trump is down, but he ain't out yet....

i don't think me or the nation could survive four more years of trump, so i'm cautiously optimistic....
