I believe Whitmer can nullify faithless electors. I was reading that Trump can tey to use the chaos to to get the legislature to declare a "failed election", toss the popular vote, and put it in their hands. This is illegal and unethical, but it may become a case appealable to the SCOTUS, and that's what Trump wants. Then he could go after other states.

I seriously doubt it will happen, though.
