When you're selling nostalgia, that has very short lasting power. On the positive side, players retire every year. Allen Iverson is a step up from Dennis rodman in terms of being reliable so they can't possibly build around him next year.

Yeah I didn't know anyone who I was talking to about this thinking oh shyt I can't wait to see Brian Scalabrine Reggie Evans and Lou Amundson ball need some bigger names and trim some fat (Iverson,Payton) and try to get a live deal shyt 3 hours is a chore as well shyt fukking last longer then a fukking regular NBA time slot.
The teams seem very arbitrary and random, and the fans can't possibly follow who's teaming with who. The Basketball Tournament is going on right now and they have like an Ohio St team with Sc00nie Penn, Jared Sullinger, Aaron Craft teaming up. They obviously weren't at osu together but that's a hook, you can see old college teams reforming and guys from diff generations at the same school joining forces. That's interesting. Imagine the Big 3 getting Bibby, Peja, Doug Christie, Gerald Wallace or whoever still in shape back together.
I know Rip, Ben, Rasheed are all still in shape and Mike James played in the league til a year ago. Jermaine, Chauncey and Stephen Jackson in it already. Artest just retired. You don't think that could draw a crowd at the new LCA next summer? Hire me Cube!
Yea, gathering new retired stars is going to be key.. Flipside to not having games live, is the actual games have had really good attendance considering.. Pretty sure they are taking that into account, at this point it appears the replay Monday is just a bonus.. Will need real retired stars to garner live interest

They should get Marbury,Artest next year they need 1 reliable big name! Cant front they have the legends coaching (Dr J,Ice Man,Glove) and seeing them coach is worth the admission .Im not an autograph dude but getting Dr J or Clyde Drexlers autograph seems 
Another thing If the games are on Tape Delay next year at least have 1 Marquee Matchup LIVE per week.Market around the best team.Rashad McCants and Al Harrington have won all 4 games but we wouldn't know that because Iverson bringing bad press.

the problem with finding players is that they gotta be OPTIMALLY the best mesh of legends, vets, but they also need to be recent in the masses mind and not too washed up (obviously). They also gotta be completely committed to this thru and thru. Its hard to find somebody whos just out the prime of their life but not doing shyt that's so committal they have the time for ball after just leaving ball. I cant really think of a perfect player that checks every box, but theres a good bit who do most. Somebody likes James Jones would've fit most if he didnt choose the Suns.
Something to consider going forward is how much big names the league can actually afford if they arent making money. Im sure dudes like GP and AI cost more, but they arent even worth it. I think AI's an investor so it'll probably be hard for Cube to check him on his attendance. But they definitely gotta move away from him as the face of the joint
