Trey yesavage will likely start game 1 .
If this WS goes seven, the pitching rotation will Likely be :
Yesavage-Gausman-Bieber-Scherzer-Yesavage-Gausman-Bieber
Eric Lauer and Chris Bassitt will be used as long relievers in the bullpen.
My guess is Yesavage will be available if needed in Game 7 for an inning or two as a reliever.
It will be basically their regular setup in the playoffs but just with the first two starting pitchers flipped. I was wondering if they'd consider it to give Gausman his usual rest given he pitched a bit sunday.
Absolutely unbelievable and unforgettable moment for this kid though. Yesavage was playing in A ball to start the year and 6 months later, now here he is starting game 1 of the world series lmao. Even if he's built for this moment like he says, that's gotta screw with him just a little bit. He just can’t believe it. It’s pure Storybook stuff.
