To me the most impressive part of the night for the jays was how pedestrian they made Snell look. That pitcher was in Madison Bumgarner territory during these playoffs and we broke him with ease. Somehow we're still viewed by many people as the underdogs in this world series

As much as I was worried about Yesavage earlier in the game last night, I have to give him credit for battling as hard as he did when he didn't have his best stuff. Limited the damage, gave Ohtani nothing, and gave the Jays the opportunity to take the game over. If this is him on an off day in the highest pressure situation he'll ever face, I'm excited to see how he fares with a few more years of experience

The thing that makes Yesavage look like a guy who might have something special wasn't him mowing down the Yankees in the ALDA. That was an ambush on a free swinging, impatient, undisciplined, live and due by the home run team who indiscriminately swings at every kind of pitch with no time to prepare for him effectively. It was impressive, but his pitching style made him a land mine for a team like the Yankees. A Pitcher Like yesavage is their kryptonite.

What makes Yesavage so special to me is that when teams have him on the ropes he gets out of it. He can change his approach to get out of trouble when he gets into it
Yeah, he hasn’t necessarily been lights out since his first insane start in the MLB against the Tampa bay rays on the road last September but he’s had the ability to not completely lose his s*** when a lot of pitchers would. He steadies himself, battles back, and keeps competing. He always finds a way to overcome adversity.

He has some serious mental fortitude. As a rookie, who has been through all he has been through this year, to not get rattled? He’s mentally Tough as Nails, he’s built for this moment like he says.

Unlike these veteran win now 2015-16 teams, this team core is much younger and in their prime years of their careers. We might enter into an era of sustainable contention for the foreseeable future (4-6 seasons)

Bo, vladdy, Kirk, varsho, barger, clément, yesavage, Bieber, Mason fluharty, Arjun nimmala, Orelvis Martinez, Johnny king, Ricky tiedemann etc

I'd only resign Bichette and let bassit, Scherzer, Bieber, finer kalifa go
