gimenez call being overturned because the umpires saw he was safe at first base made the difference here. With 2 outs against them the runner on third base for the jays ( Ernie Clement ) could have not gone home and scored that run. Ty France wouldn’t have a ground out RBI, he was out at first base but Clement scored because it wasn’t the 3rd out inning ender. And we would not have scored 3 more runs afterwards to take a 6-1 lead in the top of the 7th inning. This is some butterfly effect shyt.

Another magical 7th inning for the jays in their playoff history. Toronto led 2-1 when the inning began. Then ohtani gave up a single to varsho followed by a double to Clement. He was pulled early, middle inning relievers Banda and treinen took over the mound for LA but our hitters got runners in bases, got the ball in play and got the best of them.
