The Blue Jays broke character at the wrong time for the first time this playoffs. We were Very good at working pitch counts during the regular season and playoffs. Then Until The last two at bats tonight in the bottom of the 9th with two runners at second and third base, with the opportunity to win the championship on the line. Our hitters lacked patience, pitch judgment/awareness, discipline and swung at bad first pitches

Clement and Gimenez with terrible at-bats.

And what a dumb, low IQ, impatient, impulsive base running decision by Barger on the last out. Rookie mistake. If he simply stayed at second base, the game ending double play never happens and springer is coming up to the plate instead.

we let these dodgers off the hook, off the mat
they had 4 hits all game

Jays had 2 runners on base in the bottom of the ninth and we couldn’t even score one run? We couldn’t even get one timely well placed base hit deep and hard into the outfield? disappointing

What an terrible and anticlimatic Ending. Too bad because the game started nicely for the jays with gausman pitching well on the hill. Whatever.

But At least the silver lining and Good news is that the jays are resilient and have always found a way to comeback and win through adversity this year. Remember when they lost game 3 in the bottom of the 18th inning, most baseball experts and fans wrote off the jays but they won the next two games after that one. I believe that Despite tonight’s heartbreaking loss, Toronto will still win the WS tomorrow. I’m still confident in their chances.

they did the same vs the mariners clement bases loaded no outs they didnt score then suarez hit grand slam game winner.. they still came back and won the series lets chill dodgers gotta prove they can win without a yamamoto start or an 18 inning game

Jays were the better team tonight. Different defensive positioning could’ve saved a couple runs vs Betts. But Gausman lights out as was Varland and Bassitt. But all for naught.

Now it’s a coin flip. No room for simple mistakes like there was tonight. A lucky bounce here or there can now decide it too.

And you’ve given Betts Freeman Teo and Ohtani another chance to be a difference maker.
Scherzer you just hope still has it. Dodgers will cobble together something with Otanhi and Glasnow and who knows who else.

Jays will need probably 4 runs and they can manufacture it out of nowhere but getting the lead would be ideal.

All that said I kind of sense a blowout by one team. Hope it’s the right one.

think you guys missed your moment tbh
teams that make these types of blunders rarely win in the end

The funniest part of that is how Sportsnet always plays up how smart of a base runner Barger is (and usually he is one btw) They built him up to blow it in that particular moment. :russ:

Blue Jays tried to do it right wearing the baby powder blues colors , too.
