why does everyone drive so fast out here? I almost got ran off the 101 going 65

Unwritten rule for speed limit...

5 over for streets and 10 over for freeways.

If you were driving in the slow lane though, people were probably being a$$holes

it from the salton sea by palm springs.. they say itws because of "fish die-off"

it was a SULFUR SMELL...

and that leads me to think its VOLCANIC...

there is a VOLCANO within miles of the salton sea..

What's the weather typically like in the Costa Mesa area in late October?

Socal will still be in the 80's in Oct. Weather is tricky in fall and spring. It can be cold in the morning and heat up like crazy in the afternoon.

It didnt smell like fish to me friend. I dont believe dead fish picked up in the wind can make the entire county smell like rotten eggs. I felt my bed doing a slow rock last night around 1am. Something is up. Something is wrong. Hopefully not something, demonic?

We drive fast, recognize we all have somewhere to go and stay out of one anothers way, so we can get where we're going. This is an aggressive city.

Last time I was out there (Laguna) I felt like the only peasant.

My boy drives the hooptie of all hoopties and sitting at a red light on the PCH surrounded by Bentleys and Lambos was humbling to say the least.
