yup, for most of them at least (origin games are still origin and ubi games are still uplay). I only buy the steam and origin ones (fukk a uplay).

it all depends if the game(s) you want go on sale. but the Winter and Summer sales are usually Steam's biggest sales. plus they'll probably have some card collecting meta-game going on

I get the feeling they'll try something new this time. the Summer Sale had the different color teams. but whatever it is it will probably have something to do with crafting badges, and getting your Steam level up

cheapshark says it was that same price ($26.79) nov 30th. that was probably the autumn/thanksgiving sale

it will probably be the same price, or maybe slightly cheaper for the winter sale. but in general that game hasn't seen a big discount yet. same with Wasteland 2

Steam Holiday Auction

Recycle Steam Community items like Trading Cards, backgrounds, and emoticons from your Inventory into Gems and use them to bid on games up for auction. The first auction round ends on Dec 15 @ 9:45am with a new round ending every 45 minutes until the last auction round ends on Dec 18 @ 12:00pm. At the end of each auction round, the top bidder for each title wins.

Pro tip: Need more items to turn into Gems? More than 1,200 games on Steam drop Trading Cards just for playing them. Find out which of your games has drops remaining on your Badges page. Also, don’t forget to craft the Trading Cards into badges, the resulting emoticons and backgrounds have a higher Gem value. If you have nothing in your Inventory to recycle, you can also trade for Gems or purchase them on the Community Market.

The Auction runs Dec 15 @ 9:45am to Dec 18 @ 12:00pm when the Holiday Sale begins.
