All you need is warm water, a brush and a silk durag. You don’t need to put any pomades or crap in your hair. I used to use dax but I’m sure that does long term damage. If you have to use something, then Hollywood Carrot Creme is the next best thing.

im on my 2nd weeks brehs, got a soft brush, a 0.5 bald cut all over , a leave-in conditioner spray and a stocking cap.

Try to Wolf it out. Get a coarse brush as well then when it starts to get some length and that soft brush dosent cut it anymore switch to that(Don't brush too hard, especially on the top). Then when it seems like its TOO long and u got that matted down, sorta kinda wavy texture going, cut it down, BUT NOT TOO LOW. Youll cut your waves out. See, i got that coarse, rough shyt as well. Its gonna take a lil longer to tame it and brush the waves in than usual.

against the grain. damn near cut all the hair off. it was no more than a 0.5 cut. Never had waves before so im not sure how long its gonna take me to be spinning since I got that African steel wool coarse texture. Hell even my own African family be commenting about how rough my hair is

Dude knows no theory and has no idea how to cut a crown or real grain pattern in 3d.
That is why he has to wear a du rag and does not rock a stocking cap..

You do NOT NEED A fukk'N BRUSH AT ALL.

I wonder at times whether waves lead to baldness. My waves used to be serious. I didn't always necessarily use a stocking cap either. Sad though cuz I went from having 360 waves to my head looking like the tide went out. Like the pond got drained in the center of my dome.
