I drafted Jeudy. We haven’t drafted a real game changing/breaking WR in mad long. Draft him and give Sam some weapons, it’s time. OL is important, but if that’s JD’s bag then he should be able to make something happen in later rounds and undrafted free agents.

Sidebar: I have a feeling that if we do go WR at 11, it will be Ruggs.

Joe Douglas has been on record as saying he values receivers with speed and who are a threat to score on any given touch. That description fits Ruggs to a T.

And taking Ruggs over Lamb and Jeudy would be a huge mistake :francis:

Andrew Thomas

He's the best OT in the draft IMO. He's D'Brickashaw Ferguson 2.0

If he's there, you take him and run. Grab a WR in the 2nd/3rd

This is where I'm at. The thing is, if we trade for Trent Williams I think we obviously dont go OL in the first. But ince we havent, I'm gonna say Andrew Thomas. I agree with you on that. Thomas is ready to play right NOW.

Where's the option for a bust? :mjlol:

But nah they gonna get a ghostbuster in Becton.
Help out Rockhead back there. From everything I've seen Thomas is great it's just that all the other lineman are more athletic for the most part and had better combines. Once these lineman are gone you wont see a good one picked for awhile. They'll grab a wr later that's a deep group.

My Pops Forever RIP
I'm very tempted to say CeeDee Lamb because the Jets have arguably the shyttiest collection of offensive weapons to surround a QB and if Joe Douglas' forte is OT, then he should be able to find one later. Acquiring Trent Williams would make this academic but I don't see them paying him. I'm reluctantly gonna pass because the collection of talent at WR is deep and they're gonna have to draft multiple wideouts anyway.

I'm gonna take Andrew Thomas because the Jets need a LT and it has been long overdue. We haven't had a very good one since D'Brickashaw Ferguson and we haven't replaced him yet. My feeling is that if they don't address LT early, they won't address it at all and George Fant should not be playing LT. He should be battling Edoga at RT. Also, I think the Jets are gonna be a 5 win team next season anyway, so I'd rather go into the 2021 draft knowing we won't be needing a LT of the future since this team loves winning meaningless games at the end of the season for fake ass momentum. That's why they're in this position now. As much as I hate the receiving core that's here, the Jets have been talking themselves out of addressing O-Line via the draft for years and that has to stop now. If Douglas won't address LT in a tackle heavy top 15, he never will.

So yeah, Andrew Thomas with CeeDee Lamb being a close second. With a top 10 pick next year, they can add a receiver then to go with the two rookies they should draft in rounds 2, 3, or 4.
