The depth of beta in this post is just sad.

Mariota is not that good, breh. He's solid even if he reaches his peak. Why pass on potentially great players to draft a QB who ain't leading you anywhere?

Because you're not winning a Super Bowl with Geno.

I'm not a huge Mariotta guy either, but facts are he ain't even making it to the Jets. All the teams picking ahead of us actually had worse QB play than we did.

Mariota will make it to and past the Jets unless some team trades up for him

Because he sucks?
I don't believe in writing off a QB after only 2 years. Especially when they don't have much to work with :yeshrug:

I mean, Chad Pennington says it takes at least 3-4 years to find out if your QB is your franchise QB. He said the light bulb for him didn't go on until his 3rd year. Maybe the light bulb goes on for Geno next year :manny:

This is why I've been saying for the longest, a guy like Troy Aikman is so lucky he grew up playing QB in the 90s. If he played QB in this day and age, where everybody is ready to write off a QB so quickly, would have gotten ran off and people would be screaming for him to be replaced

Going White...we'd be set for years at WR with him. Don't even know if Marshall will be with us after this year

True but if both QB's are gone, Williams is gone and the two receivers are gone...I think you have to take the best pass rusher or the LSU Tackle.
it's a very very far fetched scenario.
EASY CHOICE- Kevin White

Don't overthink this Jets fans. Why reach for Mariotta when the best WR in the draft is on the board? He will be a dominant red zone threat and open the offense up for every other player.

White is raw, but White will have a great player to learn from and would devoid of much responsibility initially.

If the Jets go pass rush in round 2, he'd probably bear more responsibility than White.
