S/O to one of my 500 co workers for not being a bytch ass nikka and actually having an opinion when people are acting like nikka aren't getting treated as if it's the 16th century again.

Big ups @Brooklynzson and @cook for owning the only safe black space on the Internet and possibly the world. Because I don't hear anyone having honest dialogue about our condition anywhere other than the coli.

Lol if you're scared to type or say that seeing innocent people who look like you being killed makes you angry you're a p*ssy. Won't even admit the natural response to being attacked is okay to have. How do I use logic and reason to stop myself from being attacked when my attacker is using violence and seems to communicate with violence?

Same man. Anybody from the hood is comfortable with violence. We all will fight, but we all know meeting violence with violence doesn't correct the issue. It just let's the other party know there's only so much you'll take. It doesn't start a dialogue that leads to resolution.

History isn't on our side either. Jesus. Ghandi. MLK. JFK. RFK. Bob Marley. They all were shot for preaching peace and unity. Three of them were white men. Two are considered royalty in america. Bob Marley got shot in Jamaica!

Every time I think about the assassination of MLK I get angry. He was the nicest guy. He really tried to work with all people. And they blew his fukking brains out. The BPP was more militant and political but they did behave civilly. People forget a lot of them were college students. Not thugs.

What happened in Chicago during the murder of Fred Hampton? They shot nikkas in their sleep. Men and women. They killed everyone in the apartment. And they were unarmed.

So do I follow King or Hampton? Do I give myself to God? Either way I go I die violently. So wtf can we really do?

It has its roots with Jews/everyone coming to terms with the killing of innocent civilians on both sides during WW2.

Some authors would be Theodore Adorno, Max Horkheimer and Walter Benjamin.

The first two authors I listed collaborated on the Dialectic of Enlightenment which argued amongst other things that the fascism of the early 20th century had its roots in a perversion of 'enlightenment' wherein the 'rational' principals that said things like 'all men are created equal' had gone from being rational to being mythological.

The easy example from the time period is the extension of the scientific study of evolution to the mythical field of eugenics.

In today's world you could say that the open mindedness of the civil rights movement has been perverted into the 'post racial society' where people refuse to acknowledge race as a factor in forms of discrimination (all lives matter).

Basically thinking your progressive but actually being regressive.

If this is something you are thinking deeply about, this field may be interesting to you. The books are dense though, and written by cacs which I know is a deal breaker for some of you colintellectuals.

Yea that's how it was in prison breh, 95% of disagreements or arguments were handled with violence,and it sorta looks like it's translating to the real world,I'm ready for whatever tho,believe that.

I'm going to look into this. I studied science in college so large books with technical language are up my alley. I appreciate the information. I'll read anu thing I find useful. I don't care who it's written by.

Believe it or not me too. I'm ready for whatever. I had to take back to the hood one time. Growing up we were like gladiators. We'd play fight all the time. So when shyt went down we were ready.

I always have a weapon on me and I stopped carrying ID a long time ago.
