I think story is where they'll fumble on reviews. I've played A LOT of Korean MMO's, Black Desert included, and the stories are always a convoluted mess full of cliches. I also think the systems will be bloated and confusing. But, gameplay and combat is all that matters to me, so I'm expecting a personal 9/10.

So are final fantasy stories if we're being honest

I have yet to see anyone darker than DJ Envy in this game... Idk

I'm hoping for a 90 metacritic, but I'm betting on 85. It's my next game to play. I even bought the collector's edition from a scalper on eBay. The combat looks a bit complex, but I'm sure I can figure it out. This is my most anticipated game after GTA. I want the new Control too, but Crimson Desert has been on my radar for a while. It's giving me preliminary Witcher 3 vibes, but I'm going to temper my expectations. It's only 5 days away.

I've been trying to get into Clair Obscure Expedition 33, but I just can't get into it. It's the most over-hyped game of last year. shyt is not that good. I don't understand it. I thought about starting Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, but I'll wait until after Crimson Desert. You can only play so many 100 hour games a year.

Which is why I could never fully get into ER. Anything 'soulslike' gets sucked off to oblivion cause people enjoy fighting the same boss 50 fukking million times

It’s crazy shyt man Elden ring has no story. You was just some random mute walking around fighting bosses. Everything was lore you had to go find on YouTube. No rhyme or reason why my 5’10 character was strong enough to beat literal gods. That got passed off as deep tho idk

Facts!! I've been saying that about most of the souls games. The only one that actually follows somewhat of a narrative is Demons soul and you still don't get much depth in the plot. So they can stop with the narrative that it's some literary masterpiece
