144 hours in is what Steam is telling me and I've barely left Hernand. I thought I was fly once, left to try to get loot in Demeniss once and I got the shyt kicked out of me, lol. There is so much done right in this game that I love it but holy fukk, you have to try to figure out so much shyt on your own. Like dispatching comrades is more convoluted than it needs to be. I was looking for nikkas I sent out on dispatches, wondering why I couldn't start a mission so I needed to pay attention to who I was sending out. Like everything else though, once you get past that initial hurdle of understanding, everything flows and makes sense. I've seen people give the story shyt but so far, I actually like the story and where it's going to this point.
Before playing this game, I felt Night City from Cyberpunk was my favorite world in terms of sheer scale and being impressive. I think this will give it a run for its money. So many systems at work and most do work together flawlessly. The thing for me that is one of the main pulls is that this game encourages you to explore.
I'll keep saying this, there are games with more polish, more focus, etc. This game is the sum of it's parts and when it is looked at like that, game is brilliant. Swung for the fences, sometimes it's a home run, sometimes it's a strikeout but more often than not, it's a stand up triple. That's how I feel currently.
