Just finished the episode, they knew Rob Black put a call in to have Messiah beat up and assaulted. The comical part was New Jack calling Rob to confirm if it happened or not. I watch DSOTR from a historian's mindset and it's always enjoyable for me. I still will not go back and watch the Nick Gage episode. Any of you guys feel deathwatch wrestling has a place in wrestling overall??

Man, this was a trip down memory lane.![]()
I knew Black was a scumbag, but this sheds light on him more.
Surprised they didn’t mention the mayor of LA campaign. (Yea, he actually tried to run for mayor of LA.)
Glad they got NJ to talk about it before he passed. Dude collecting porn like it’s the end of the world.
I fukked with Messiah. Was glad he did his thing in CZW.![]()
It was fine for what it is. Even learned some new stuff. I enjoyed it and so did everyone else. No complaints here.Dark Side of the Ring wouldn't have done a XPW episode if it wasn't for the Rob Black Messiah incident. There's a lot more they could've covered and they only used a few XPW originals to interview. I know many declined to do the show but I'm sure they could've got a few more. As for Black running for mayor. He's a scumbag so politics would be something he'd pursue but he's too stupid to even get into politics. He tries to sound politically smart on his shytty podcast all the time.
I had known briefly about XPW when I was younger after seeing it in wrasslin magazines and the internet but I had no idea about the sheer fukkery this place produced. Pornstars fukking everywhere, ultraviolence, dudes getting legit maimed and harmed including a mf getting concussed against his will. That’s not even mentioning the Messiah thumb thing which I’ve even seen suggested was a work. This one felt like a nastier, grimier version of UWF without any of the same charm Herb and that fed hadfalsifying event insurance documents....ok

What would happen if Rob Black approached his former employees to start another promotion...
