West where the Sunsets
starting season 5. Earthquake ep was good and sad. Never knew he was Golga and his origins. Made me shed a tear. :to:

Typhoon seems like a decent guy too. Couldn’t stop laughing at Haku :dead: at the Shockmaster debut. The soundbytes of Booker and Davey were great. :mjlol:

man that hassan episode was so classic...wrestlers today couldn't get that type of heat if they tried..its sucks it came at a big cost to dude's wrestling career
I hope the fukk not. You can’t get that kind of heat without going a place creatively that you really shouldn’t be going anymore because it evokes such a visceral emotional response that some fans won’t know how to separate reality from fiction.

An indie wrestler in the Appalachia area a couple years ago was running with the gimmick of being the Progressive Liberal. They had to cut matches short because the fans were getting too rowdy and confrontational. He had rocks thrown at him, a fan tried to light him on fire, and another fan pulled a knife on him. Looks like he stopped wrestling two years ago, probably had to retire for his personal safety. And frankly who can blame him?

Dan Richards « Wrestlers Database « CAGEMATCH - The Internet Wrestling Database

You can’t go on YouTube and just search Progressive Liberal Wrestler and there’s a whole bunch of clips. He went viral for it 7 years ago and then CNN did a follow up around two years ago. He said as bad as it was during Trump’s presidency, it got even considerably worse during Biden’s presidency because all these people in these bumfukk sundown mountain towns where Trump won with like 80+% of the vote thought they were robbed when Trump lost.

Watching
I still remember seeing the disclaimer at the bottom of the screen when that episode aired. Hilariously awful timing and luck but goes to show why you don't cross the line during tumultuous times

I still remember the news reporting on the attack and warning people that the Smackdown would have the warning because of the segment.
