saba simba was just smh
Bruce Prichard can try to explain, deflect, and juelz his way through everything Vince did, but the bottom line is that character was all Vince.
Vince loved to bring guys in and humiliate them with these trash gimmicks.
That's what Vince thought an "African warrior" was supposed to be, dancing to the ring, big over the top props, barefoot.
He could never just bring in a wrestler and let them be them, sh*t was crazy, smh.

I think some others were better but at least Atlas didn't die. Some of the undisputed ones usually end with a dead wrestler or a retrospective on an extreme wrestler or promotion. FMW's for example was really good, but I have no appetite to watch it again.

Halfway through this episode I was wondering if they were gonna leave out a bunch of stuff, but they managed to get everything in without rushing it.

EDIT: found the True Life episode I mentioned earlier

One of the best episodes of MTV True Life.

I've always enjoyed listening to Tony's interviews because his story never changes, never, not once. Always puts it all out there even if it embarrasses him.

I thought it was a great episode.

I've actually liked this whole season, except the "Hell In A Cell" one that's been done to death.

Tony deserves to get his flowers.

I can only imagine that he's taken so much bullshyt from CACs during the '70s & '80s.

That's why I try to give old dudes the benefit of the doubt, a lot of them c00n because they were literally broken by racism & c00ning's the only way they learned how to deal with the pain. :francis:
Watching now, you aint lying...racism broke him down so much breh basically normalized it when explaining shyt he going through

The Tony Atlas episode was good, He's always great when he's on the show,I wish he would've got a chance to be a world champ back in the day

I don't know a lot about Tommy Rich but he seems like a good guy,I liked hearing about their friendship

Also so much respect for Atlas wife giving him a place to live

Checking out tony ep rn

Tony atlas is a national treasure.

Im actually thinking of tryna catch a small show to see him and tommy rich together. You can tell they really close friends. Tommy saving him from the kkk is crazy. Murdoch was a POS. Flair LOVES murdoch… coincidence?

And yea tonys got the best shoots in the game. From mr usa to small towns being only black guy to limos with hulk to piss off vince to homeless to comeback after comeback to today being a regular on all east coast wrestling shows.

Thw opportunities he fukked up are legendary. Lost arnolds card to be in the gladiator scene in conan which made arnold mad as he made him look bad on his first movie; coulda been champ and rather got walked on lmao.

Best shoots in the game in modern day. Has stories on EVERYONE. the brody story alone makes him a good guy idc what anyone says. Dutch tried painting himself as a good guy without knowing tony straight up said he did NOTHING aired out all of them not giving af. Meanwhile dutch booked for them after it and tried to paint brody as his friend. Tony had beef with brody just before as he thought he pushed him outta texas and still tried to save his life.

And you know tony coulda been a regular down there as a big star but never went back. Especially in 80s when he was still in great shape and working still. The savoldi stuff was sad too. Made decent money to live in the area and not move around. Seemed like a good gig. Vince a pos.

Saba simba? I guess he wanted to do an ali type thing but the dance and headdress was just to embarrass tony because he could. He got paid/married he didnt care and i think that pissed vince off even more.

Hes a good guy. I know he does training for people now for work. Hope hes doing ok. Wife thing was sad.

His interviews with dan mirade (rip) on boston wrestling were really good. He was a weekly guest for like 2 years, then they fell out and dan died. Miss that show b

This was the 1st episode (other than Hell in a Cell, which has been done to death) that I didn't like.

It just was kind of boring & rushed.

Eddie Gilbert's one of the great characters & stories in wrestling history & it just feels like they glossed over it.
