Comedians are the #1 group of people fighting against this "cancel culture". I would say musicians too but they can always hide behind ghostwriters and "it's entertainment".

Comedy is entertainment too but words with no beat just hits different and folks been trying "cancel" comedians like crazy these last few years from Damon Wayans to Dave to Kevin Hart, etc. The breh Godfrey just got fired from his radio show on Sirius for talking about a SPECIFIC homosexual he had an issue with. shyt is crazy right now.

With this special title, I assume Dave is about to lead the way to end this shyt once and for all. Take us back to the 80s and 90s before everybody went soft if only Patrice was still here, he woulda been going in on these sensitive fakkits

Oh shyt realized I worded the original message like an idiot and it sounded like I was saying I didn't like the Chappelle specials, edited now thanks. I meant the other specials by other comedians I've never heard of have been terrible so far, loved the specials Chappelle released and am excited about this one.

This month I've watched Dear White People Vol 3, almost finished with Wu Assassins, then I'm going to start Glow Season 3 and Cannonbusters.

Dave Chappelle doesn't have the power to silence people's thoughts and grievances just cause they don't rock with his shyt

he also isn't pushing the culture or climate of comedy forward

and I don't mean sanitized, SNL, light humor, don't offend anybody ever material forward

but his shyt is resonating with his die-hard zealots, casuals and people who feel like they're suppose to like him cause his comedy is deemed smart

and if he's not careful he'll back himself into a creative corner of being the comedian who "tells it like it is" and "makes people mad"

and i don't say this out of spite

however the notion that "cancel, woke culture" is a nemesis to comedy is entirely overblown. and said criticisms from the aformentioned party (twitter nikkas) aren't actually approached and touched on with the same level as said performances.

a motherfukker with twitter followers struggling to crack 1K ain't the problem.
