Ah, that explains that bit where he says “stop making that face Dave.” It seemed incongruous. That should’ve been edited out since there was no context.
what ? Wasn’t the face for the queer joke saying what if I said I feel Asian inside and he was doing the face and said his wife’ doesn’t like the joke since she’s Asian

Do you not understand that joke?
Of course. Do you not understand how to read? Read my prior posts. During the show I attended, him saying that she’s finally come around was a direct reference to her previously ignoring him sexually, which was cut out of the Netflix showing.

Loved the special, nothing but greatness from Dave. fukk the PC shyt...

For those who loved this, I also just watched Andrew Schulz new special he dropped on YouTube same day. He used to be very hit and miss for many on Brilliant Idiots but since he's taken his standup seriously, been on Rogan, he really could be up there as one of the best comedians out right now. Whole special of crowd work takes alot of guts, and this was fun as shyt.

That Chibok joke fell flat. But the rest was good.

This wasn't funny.

Don't care about the PC issue both ways. On one hand, fukk the PC crowd who get their panties bunched up over every comment. On the other hand... I'm fukking tired of comics using it as a base for their entire special.

Honestly, was the letters segment (LGBTQ part) even funny? It sounded more like a rant.

It had it's moments. The gun segment. His kid and the duck they were eating. Unfortunately both were flashes of brilliance in a tepid special. Expect much more from him. I can go to his last specials and still laugh. This one was doo.

Confounded at the amount of people who like it. From the perspective of liking shyt that calls out the PC crowd, I get it. From the perspective of actually finding most of it funny, I'm still confused.

Any chance this gets yanked for being politically incorrect? I better watch this now! :lupe:
I sincerely doubt it would get yanked off of Netflix. After Comedy Central and Chappelle Show, Netflix definitely had to give him complete control of the product, not just creative. They gave him license to do it, without restrictions. I doubt he would've signed the deal with Netflix without it.

So many highlights in this, but the most poignant were the convo with Standards & Practices, the alphabet car ride...the reactions to today's opiate vs the 80s crack epidemic....shoot shootings...and how change gun laws....

With a title like Sticks & Stones, good luck getting anyone who tries to take the fake outrage serious.... I mean, dude had a pic of "Daphne" in the epilogue pics..... Reality-based jokes. Elite storytelling comedy.
