The comedy shows I went to you put your phone in a pouch and then they put them in lockers. I've never been to one where they put it in a pouch but let you carry the pouch around. That's a recipe for people forgetting to turn they shyt on silent or vibrate and phones going off. If that's the case, I'm surprised only one phone went off during his set.

Also, I know I can't be the only one who thought the phone call was planted and thought he was going to pull out his cell phone and pretend it was someone on the other line telling him he was "cancelled".

This stand up was damn near perfect, especially in today's climate.

I hate the word "snowflake" because it's mostly used by conservatives, but if this stand up offends you, then you truly are a snowflake.

Fact is if you follow Chappelle's career, he spares no one. He goes in on any race or lifestyle as he sees fit. From the Bourdain jokes, making light of the opiod "crisis" (very good comparison with the crack epidemic) to going in on Metoo, cancel culture and juicy smollié, this stand up is going to be hard for anyone to top.

Why do people hold comedians to the same standards they would a civilian or journalist? It’s not to be taken LITERALLY

If you watched the epilogue Chapelle said taken comedians seriously is like taking someone ripping a fart in front of someone seriously. It’s mean to entertain and make people forget about their problems and laugh nothing more.

I think the jokes he made about Louis CK and Kevin Hart point to Dave's motivation in this special.

I think he looks at what Kev and Louie lost (Oscars gig, TV show, sponsors, [White] fan adoration etc.) and those are things Dave doesn't want in the first place, so he just said "fukk it" and decided he might as well say what he wants to say, because the things "Cancel Culture" can take from you are things Dave doesn't have or won't mind losing.

They can never take stand-up from you, and if that's all you really want, might as well go in.
