Didn't Kick Ass 1 flop in box office due to the R rating.
it tripled it's budget at the box office...is that a flop?
you can't try to make your movie something it isn't. kick ass was ultraviolent, deadpool is the same way w/humor combined...you can try to make it pg13 but when you end up with a bad movie

i think it just depends. i think you should make a movie and then let them decide what the rating is. don't make a movie with a pg-13 rating in mind the entire time, shyt just seems stupid to me, if you have a really good movie people are gonna see it regardless imo.
