Here's the bind I'm in brehs... This shyt obviously has a similar system like MMOs regarding experience points. The more people you have in a group (sans strikes and raids) the less experience you get since you're splitting kills.

The situation I'm in is... I had my higher level friends help me out in the story mode through Venus. Now I unlocked Mars, and I can't do a single damn mission because my level is too low. So now I'm pretty much stuck having to grind out patrols and such until I reach a good enough level. I can't even participate in strikes on Venus due to my level...

I dont think it slows down exp when you have more people in the party you get credit regardless of who kills. You need to make sure your doing bounties especially if you have people to help carry you through harder missions. The bounties give on average 2500 to 5000 exp. Let me put it this way my friend was level 6 yesterday morning by 3 am tonight he is 20. He spams alot of crucible though and stays on top of bounties

not everyone has 5 friends that play the game I only know 2 people

there's plenty of people here. their levels are too high for me to team up with though. I'm only level 6 and I mostly play an hour a night from 10-11PM

This game has actually exceeded my expectations. I'm just as hyped to get on every night as I was the first. The shyt is addicting. The game runs and looks incredible on the ps4, and I have a very high end PC and am usually critical but no complaints at all. The leveling pace is just about right, maybe even too fast with bounties. I keep learning new shyt that makes me excited like once you hit 15 you can level any of the subclasses right off the bat on the alts. The dungeons/strikes are challenging, especially at the minimum level, I can't imagine raids but I can't wait. Also PVP comes out next month where all gear is not equal, so you know shyt is about to get real. We're gonna have to grind our asses off to stay competitive but that'll keep us playing. Looks like they are holding true to their word about the constant updates with all the events this month, not to mention an entire expansion in december. Overall, this game might be the best value for my money of anything I've bought this year.
