I love how they still gave Dexter's character dry humor, thats the core essence of Dexter.

Judging from the preview at the end, seems like they're going to rehash the Jordan Chase storyline from season 5.

I liked how he ignored her at the end

I LOVE that she looks like Deb. Works with his/killer psychology. He primarily went after blondes and his mother was blonde.

Now with his trauma with Deb, he's going after a woman that looks like her and is in her profession.

Loved the first episode, love their use of the Blood theme in the credits. Love the physical representation of his Dark Passenger grabbing Deb into the ice. Even the narration coming back, now it seems like the voice we hear isn't actually Dexter but his Dark Passenger. I wonder if theyre going to make the Dark Passenger a real character like the book does.

If y'all hate Deb (I don't agree) y'all should watch the movie "Dragged Across Concrete" and that's all say. Don't watch any trailer etc, just enjoy. Enjoyable first ep, I hope it ends on a positive note for Dexter. I think it's kinda cliche now to have these antihero/flawed protag stories to end badly for them, it's a different era now, let Dexter have his happy ending.

Also didn't expect him catch a body in episode 1, I thought he would be fighting off his urges in the first couple of episodes before he finally killed someone.

Was a bit too early for a Harrison return IMO. Let Dexter get back in the groove first and save Harry for ep 6 or 7

It just dawned on me that if John Lithgow is on the show, and if Deb is acting like a "Light Passenger", then the "Dark Passenger" is probably the Trinity Killer.
He's going to have like an angel on one shoulder, and a devil on the other.
