It makes the point that Americans forget: you can’t vote your way out of a disaster. Voting is the end of the hard work, but we have been taught that it’s all you have to do. The Dems were never going to do anything until the people forced it. The GOP were going to keep supporting it until the people forced it. The “just vote” crowd think just voting got us a 40 hour work week, got desegregation in the south, got the voting right act, ended slavery, stopped intermittent camps, etc.

I hope this is a moment when we open our eyes and get woke to the power we have, instead of waiting for the sociopathic cowards in elected office to do something they lack the moral capacity.
