Its a reference track, he spit it with no emotion just so Drake would know what he was saying.

That's how Quentin always raps. To me it sounds like 10 Bands was actually QM's song that Drake stole, because he references his crew/brand (not sure what it is) 1317 in the lyrics and if he wrote it with Drake in mind I don't think he'd make that reference.

you best believe the fact he was willing to let someone else write an entire verse for him on one song that he's probably done it many other times.

No one knows who wrote what. Just because you heard Quentin rap on that reference track doesn't mean that Quentin even wrote everything on that.

Seriously though, Drake is a face for his label that prints money. Heartbreak Drake is dead. Feels Drake is dead. He started being interchangeable with Started From The Bottom and now he's a meme factory. Who the fukk cares if he didn't write 10 Bands of all songs? It's one of the most generic songs in his discography.

A hook/bridge is not the same as a verse. A beat coming with a hook/bridge is just a product of the super producer era.

Um no it's not an opinion. It's a possibility. Obviously it's known that Quentin Miller did do some writing. I mean that isn't news. We knew about that damn near 7 months ago. But do you know what reference tracks are and what they are used for? It is a possibility that Drake could have written some of the stuff that Quentin rapped on that reference track.

I'm just stating facts. Quentin probably did write a majority of that reference track if not all of it though, but again he was credited for it. It wasn't really a big secret.

I dont get the whole "well duhhhh people write raps with they buddies all the time" argument. Okay, well do they get sent entire reference tracks that they lift? Or do they just bounce a few ideas off each other in the studio? Are Drake and Quentin buddies? 40 made it seem like they barely knew each other....Most times you hear T.I. or Em doing a reference for Dre, or Kendrick doing a reference for Kanye, or BIG doing a reference for Puff or Junior Mafia. Name another top-tier rapper who had a reference track made for them and not the other way around....

Drake isnt a top 5 rappper just in current gen but never overall.
