In order to be the best at it you have to surround yourself with the best. Like Kanye, Drake picks from a carousel of highly talented people, taking what he likes and ignoring what he doesn’t. A single line, melody, or idea may not be all his own, but he has the ability to arrange them in a fashion that works, and that’s what gives him staying power.

I'm more alarmed at the number of people that actually thought Drake wrote his own shyt.

Yeah brehs, a jew who starred in a TV show as a kid wrote a song called "Started from the Bottom"

The reason the accusation of having a ghostwriter is so stagnating in the genre of rap more than any other genre is due to the nature of the content. There isn't a genre in the world where the musician brags about himself more than the hip hop genre.

Rap is unique in the sense that it is the only type of music where it's normal for a grown man to spend six minutes talking entirely about what he has that you don't.

You don't get that in rock, in pop, RnB.

Only in hip hop is it so prominent to brag excessively and exaggerate your self worth. Therefore, in this context, you can see why Drake using someone else's material breaks the internet... Just trying to put it in perspective for the unacquainted few.

Why are people saying he wrote the whole song?
