LOL, no lie I picked it up from work. About a year ago we got a bunch of new employees because they hired on some of their freelancers as regular employees. Then about six weeks after they got there, HR hit us with a memo to use language that was more sensitive to those going through mental health struggles and gave us a list of words to refrain from using (i.e. crazy) and a list of substitutions to use insead. It was one of the suggested words and since it was the most outlandish thing on the list, it's what I started using and that weirdness just became a habit.

To this day folks speculate about which of the newbies it was that went to HR and complained though lol.
