EWC is a great tournament but the format is strange. How you gonna win 2 FT3s, not play for 2 days then go out in 1 first to 5?

Nah he wasn't surprised. We can't forget that Punk was Xiao Hai's demon for a while. Xiao eventually would conquer the demon but they can go either way at this point

I mentioned it earlier but Punk thought he won because Cammy players don't use hooligan and only just started recently I guarantee he didn't expect that combo to scale like it did. I bet if he did level 3 right out of the hooligan instead of that long ass combo it would've killed

Yea, was gonna ask you guys: this EWC top 16 format (FT5, 1-L-and-done) is harder than the typical tourney top 16s that are best of 5 with winner’s and loser’s sides, or nah/no difference?

Yesterday's event had some great matches but it was overproduced like hell. There's no reason why a Top 16 event should take 9 damn hours

as far as the momentum talk the past few pages, concerning SF6 in particular

anti-airing dive kick characters, checking drive rushes is the biggest tell for where a players head is at. they'll go from one game consistently checking those approaches and then just completely lose it the next and just don't even try from then on. the game is so offensive if you retreat into a shell and let people get in on you for free everytime your in for it

I watched most of the matches. angrybird and kawano had absolutely no answers when their opponents were confident enough to try and were successful at anti-airing their approaches

It's tricky because there are pros and cons either way

EWC is an invitational so you're dealing with all killers, but you also have situations like EVO where Tokido can get eliminated by an unknown Kimberly from Nebraska
