If CPT is putting their name on it then they should be the first ones to check that shyt out, Capcom is a big company they should know better, they should be the one checking the TO's first. This is how professional sports typically work, from the top down. You don't hear about a NBA or NFL player sending their people to check some shyt out in the arena a few hours before a game starts, that bush league shyt.
I know fgc is poverty as fukk and they still learning how to do shyt but no, the personal manager of the players shouldn't be the FIRST people to check that out, that's unprofessional as hell. Managers and players should be the last on the list in terms of checking that stuff, they wouldn't have access to the setups and equipment to check everything out in the earliest stages of event planning way before it happens. What would be stopping the event organizers from just SAYING everything is good? Punk manager ain't flying to DR weeks before him to check stuff out.
This starts with whoever is running CPT, that's who everyone should be approaching about this, and if TO's don't comply they get taken off the tour, that's the proper chain of accountability

My brother in Christ CPT is fukkin peanuts for Capcom at this point it’s a loss leader. In one of the investors reports they said as much. Again if the players care so much about this they can do like any other pro league, unionize & strike or shut the fukk up. Nobody needs to fly out to the DR or anywhere, this is PM-ing 101 have the manager confirm the setups before the tournament even starts, if not tell them the TO Punk ain’t coming. A simple confirmation email with vsync, specs, monitors suffices and now there’s a paper trail showing accountability. The fgc has been around for 30+ years this purely an operations issues poverty or not there are not processes in place.
As viewers we have sit through button checks and fukkin RobTV pretending he loves pagoda eggrolls and you mean to tell me a player can’t ask if vsync is on or off. This only an issue when they lose. You ever hear Punk say at EVO, “Mayne angry bird should have won because these refresh rates were stupid”. Managers already handle travel arrangements, merchandising, etc. an email is not hard. Until these players put pressure on TOs and game devs this shyt will continue to happen.
As for the professional leagues I can tell you right now if a boxer showed with horse hair gloves instead of foam on the night of the fight that fight is off. There is a lot in professional sports that moves bottom up, ufc gloves, metal bats, and those synthetic basketballs all changed because of the players putting pressure on their respective leagues.
I agree Capcom should take a stance but until these players take real action, Capcom has no incentive to push these TOs to change. Where the fukk is responsibility on the players to say enough is enough, it’s been a god damn decade over bytching and moaning.
