A random thought while I watch these SNK championships:

Motherfukkers need to stop playing on the training stage. It's a horrible experience for casuals and does nothing to garner any passive interest in the game. If devs can't build a game that uses a diverse enough set of background stages, then bush the game. Regardless of who's playing, it feels like the same bullshyt every time. Either incorporate stage quirks into the meta or build backgrounds with less noise, but this training room shyt has got to go.

People pick training stage to reduce lag(and overheating in the ps5's case), but yes I agree

This is why, starting with SF5,Capcom banned the training stage in tournaments

That lag decrease training stage bullshyt been overstated since the ending of SF4. That was the last time it made a world of difference. It got better in V and in VI, the stage rarely ever matters on that note.

That whole shyt always seemed like a farcial copout to me anyways. Tekken, DOA and many other 3d games stages are way more dynamic than these shyts and the stage lag hasn't been much of a complaint there in most games over the last 15 years. I think the visual noise just distracts some plays that are overly sensitive to that shyt more than any real lag.

I agree but old habits die hard:russ: also laggy stages were an issue on the PS3

And it did get better which is why I mentioned when Capcom started to ban training stage
