Those character are only good online... go to your locals, the gameplay experience is much different.

That's not true at all

What happens is people play top tiers all year. By the time you get to EVO the burden is on the top tier player because people having been prepping all year for your character. And their played most frequently so it's a ton of practice

This happens in every fighting game

Balrog and Laura are still the best characters in the game
