Punk washed at 27. Had a great run with Cammy tho culminating with the Evo win
Tried to reinvent himself with Ed, didn’t work. Viper, didn’t work. Akuma, didn’t work. Back to Cammy, not working.
He’s not washed his character is. People get hyperbolic with Punk but we’re literally 1 year removed from him winning like half of the tier 1 majors (EVO, CEO, SFL US, etc).Punk washed at 27. Had a great run with Cammy tho culminating with the Evo win

Fam this was sick. Check the time stamp![]()
Yea Punk is going to have to switch from Cammy sooner rather than later. This was tough to watch.
Also fam who did the thumbnail is obviously a hater![]()

Punk ain't washed but his style is a bit out of date.Punk washed at 27. Had a great run with Cammy tho culminating with the Evo win

sf6 is too fast paced for punk playstylePunk ain't washed but his style is a bit out of date.
Punk is a lay back and let you kill yourself player but SF6 is a very assertive high apm game. That's why Blaz came up so fast. Nikka never stops doing shyt
The players that constantly beat Punk, particularly Blaz and Mena, are very aggressive and create their own situations and pace. When you compare him to those two his Cammy is far less active
I don't think it's necessarily speed. The game is slower now that it has been in the last two seasons. But I do think there's less and less room for empty space. This is why I specified Blaz's frequent activity and high apmsf6 is too fast paced for punk playstyle
i believe that is the reason why he not dominating imo

Punk is a lot less active compared to the current meta. He can't really sit back like he's been used to. You have to hunt and kill what you eat in SF6. Even your defense has to be offensive
This match is a great example. Blaz plays Sagat at a slower pace than his Ryu but the aggressiveness and space filling is still there. He constantly pressures Punk then engineers him into having to fight back, where Blaz then perfect parries Punk's attempts to take his turn back
