I've been playing PES and I don't really like it, the player movement just seems off to me, dudes move around like they're on meth or some shyt, and the difference in speed between players isn't really apparent.

I've been playing PES and I don't really like it, the player movement just seems off to me, dudes move around like they're on meth or some shyt, and the difference in speed between players isn't really apparent.
Played about 5 games online tonight and had a blast. Ping pong passing is basically dead. I'm killing guys with good defensive positioning and thoughtful attacks and well executed counter attacks. Getting a bit better at dribbling. My last game was a 6-0 rage quit, I was giving him that work with my starter Brazil squad. Only one rare gold in the squad and he's only a 75, Marquinho, best rated player is Diego at 79... Oh and Doumbia is still a best

Miles away from 15, having a blast playing this. And I'm still learning, you gotta knock those 15 "Pace, Pace, Pace" tendencies out of you. Being able to use slower guys because their other attributes are more important is a beautiful thing.
And Price Ranges actually work like we said they would on a new game. Coin Sales are dying as right now its like 200 bucks for 250,000 coins. Last year you could get that for 2 bucks. If EA can really keep them away for an entire cycle then this will be like the good old days. Lower prices, less "Super Teams" since kids can't just start up and load in 10 million coins anymore.
Put 12K Fifa Points on the account like I do to start every Fifa, packed Cazorla last night so I'm sitting at 113K through the first 6,000 points. Got my cheap starter squads that I'll ride with until the prices calm down, can't ask for a better start.

For the first time in years a target man striker like Giroud is actually useful. I'm actually pinging the ball in with those driven passes, watching the ball bounce up and the striker control and take the shot. In 15 the ball would just glue to him and he gets tackled instantaneously.

I'm still learning every night, its a totally new experience. I'm still just grinding in Single Player FUT, which I always do at launch to try and learn the game. But this year its gonna take longer than usual before I jump into Online. Tonight I just couldn't score, was beating teams on Professional 1 or 2-0 when thats usually 4 or 5 easy. But that was down to me making dumb Fifa 15 decisions before realize I can't play those passes or beat 5 guys with just pace anymore.
I'm also saving coins and using cheap squads, which I would not be confident taking online cause they're average at best. Once prices settle I can make my main teams and give Online Seasons a go.

If you play 16 enough, you'll get it. You'll quickly realize running in straight lines is useless, along with just about everything else that was successful in 15. Build up from the back, make the easy passes, don't try to hit a ground pass from your CB up to your Striker, work it from Defense to midfield to the attack. Use the driven pass, its the only way to get the ball into tight spaces. And when you get around the box, finesse shots are the key. Work yourself into space and use finesse, its not as easy to just smash it anymore and the finesse shot is really good.
Keep doing this and you'll start seeing the runs your teammates make, where the right pass is without thinking, and when to take your chances.
But yea that first few weeks is gonna suck

Its closer to 14 then 15, but the passing is totally different and crosses and Heading are not the OP move of the game.
If you get a Cross right it can work, but its not like 14 where any rated player could put a cross on the penalty spot 90% of the time, and guys like Benteke, Lukaku, Costa, Mandzukic would just bury them.
And passing is totally different. You have to be squared to the player you want to pass to, and hit the right power for a pass to work. You can't hit those sideways backwards passes, or ping-pong like 4 straight perfect balls and be through on goal.

(walcott even having a head start) and jesus navas muscling out mertesacker. So EA is still on that bull? Can you foul someone in fifa 16? it was impossible to foul someone in fifa 14 (to stop a counter or whatever)
I was a backwards/lateral passing fool in 15. Barca would eat back lines alive with that shyt. Between Messi, Iniesta, Rakitic and Busquets. You would have a full 360 degrees of safe passing. The shyt would defy logic.
Crossing is more like 14 but keepers are much more aggressive in 16. I've seen more punched away balls in this first week than I ever saw in 15. But the early cross modifier is BEASTLY.

Defenders are a bit pacey its true, but I still blaze through slow defenders. Cats aren't taking into account ball control...a man with the ball shouldn't be consistently keeping the same pace as he would without it. THAT was '15's problem. Bale, Walcott, etc. Were damn near just as fast with the ball as without it...that made no logical sense. 
walcott and demichelis were both running towards the ball. Neither had it...not to mention ball control. First touch was the same either you were messi or vidic. 75% of matches were in the fukking rain (i get it it rains in britain but come on) not to mention it was like playing on quicksand (rain is supposed to make shyt faster not slower) I could rant on and on about fifa 14 and how bad it was. Not to mention the same fukking goal scoring positions from fifa 07No its not.

Yeah 14 was shyt. No way pal like Xavi were supposed to our muscle Pepe or Terry off the ball. L2 was god in 14.
