Say what you will about the Transformers movies but they have some of the best cgi and special effects

Co-sign. Despite "Avatar" being the highest grossing film ever, I still have NEVER seen it, mainly because of this reason. The film doesn't ever get talked-up, hyped-up, or get the pop cultural references as 1 of the.most commercially successful films ever. When people do talk about the film, they only seem to like & care about the 3D theater experience of the film back when it dropped (Something that can't be recreated in a home theater experience). That's it. Nothing else.

I’d be happy with Avatar being #1 if it had T2: Judgment Day level of impact on the filmmaking world.

Briefly taking my RealD glasses off during the screening was one of the biggest Expectations vs. Reality moments ever. The film really had nothing else to offer besides that “experience”.

The initial trailer can reveal a lot as is, but I really hate when theaters play spoilery Trailer #2s.
