It was rumored that Gruden was asking for $10 million/year for 10 years fully guaranteed. He makes $6.5 million at ESPN & $2 million in endorsements, so he wasn't coming back for anything less than $8.5 million/year. Not really surprising they'd pass at paying a guy that's been out of football for 10 years that much guaranteed money.
