So the ratings were bad, they sat around the room brainstorming how to get more viewers, and they chose Nelly. He hasn't had a hit in a decade. I know this was Skip's idea.

These shows work with a yin yang dynamic. You don't add a third wheel. First Take is doing the same thing trying to shoehorn Will Cain into the mix.

Here's a better idea; add more topics. We don't need to hear about the Cowboys in the opening segment and again 30 minutes later.

As a cowboys fan I love the fact they talk about them all the time. But If I wasn't it would be tough for me to watch a show which all they talk about is one team majority of the time.

Majority of Americans who like football but have no regional team loves the Cowboys. It makes sense and is a ratings booster.

I like Nelly, dude actually gives good opinions, and I've noticed he jokes on joy more and gets her involved.
Plus he actually gets the talk going for real, they all talk in a better rhythm, if that makes sense, with him, than without him.
It will only get better IMHO

I like it.
I don't think he will be on there everyday, but he'll be by often and have a weekly or monthly segment from what I've heard

I wouldn't mind weekly but just not every day. They already got too many people as is with Ray Lewis, Joe Klatt, Mangini, Cowherd, 10 other NFL analysts, etc

They need to drop Cowherd and Klatt permanently. Lombardi needs to go too.
Ray lewis is good in football talk.
I've grown to like Mangini.
Rob Parker is great.
They need a real basketball analyst, bring in Gary Payton, in Broussard shouldn't be there
