Did Jon let Mance Ryder burn alive? Stannis and the mad king are the only people who did that shyt and it lead to the end of them both. Idk why yaw keep acting like the shyt is the same, when we know damn well that shyt is considered inhumane.

I don't have a problem with her burning them alive....she's executed people in crueler ways than that in the past. I just don't get why Dany apologist are acting like executing prisoners of war is par for the course. That's some Roose/Ramsay Bolton shyt. Some Tywin/Cersei Lannister shyt. That's not something a just, sane ruler should be doing.

Mainstream publications are starting to point out how lazy the writing was in this episode.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 Was a Writing Failure - Daenerys Jon Situation Explained

Game of Thrones mistakes: From the Starbucks coffee cup to Gendry Rivers

Not to mention, they didn't bother to write who was the current Lord of Storms End and instead had an inexplicable scene where nobody, not even Tyrion, Jaimie, or Varys knows.

People might say "nitpicking" but you have to admit that it has gotten so lazy. The fully lived in, detailed world was one of the reasons the first few seasons felt so real. But they are consistently getting worldbuilding details wrong now or just outright refusing to world build as they race towards the finish.

People have also been pointing out how the geography of King's Landing has drastically changed. I did notice while watching that something felt off...

So in one episode they

  • Leave starbucks cup in a scene
  • Forgot the details about how Jaimie killed his cousin
  • Forgot what would be the correct b*stard name for Gendry
  • Stated Dany forgot about the Iron Fleet
  • Didn't bother to name who the new prince of Dorne is
  • Didn't bother to name who the lord of Storms End is
  • Changed the look and geography of the capital
  • Claimed they didn't have enough CGI budget for Jon to interact with his wolf that has been with him since the pilot

Some of this I can't blame them for. They apparently had to switch filming locations for King's Landing. Probably for a battle scene at the location. But these "minor" details are starting to add up and stick out like a sore thumb.

They put 55 days into shooting a battle episode at night and thats awesome, but between all of these blunders, including their CGI team not noticing and removing a starbucks cup in the frame, its really obvious that this shyt was still rushed and didn't have enough time to cook. Maybe it's wrong to call it lazy but it was very sloppy.

A lot of things like the Starbucks cup and completely different establishing shots of well known locations is supposed to be the job of a script supervisor. They are supposed to maintain continuity on set from making sure modern objects aren't left on sets of period pieces, that wardrobe looks the same from different angles on a shot and shyt like that.
For this episode the only script supervisor listed on IMDb is "script supervisor: Wolf" which I can only assume means this person was focused on continuity issues with a CGI wolf that was on screen for all of 5 minutes.

Y'all keep trying to spin this from what it is: Executing prisoners of war who had laid down their weapons after the battle ceased. :pachaha:

Her burning a Warlock who literally had her in chains is not comparable. Her burning a Slavemaster as a part of a scheme to liberate a whole city is not the same. Her burning enemies during an active battle in Mereen is not the same.

nikkas tryna act like this is something Ned would do, but y'all pulling that out of your assess. We've seen how the Starks treat POWs with Theon, Osha, through Robb's battles and with Jon Snow and the Wildlings.

Edit: and LMAO @ "that's all she knew". I don't even have a problem with her choosing burning alive as her preferred method, but you're Juelzing worse than D&D right now. She's crucified 161 of the wise matters of Mereen. :mjlol:

She has, but she made a spectacle out of that shyt as a show of power. But you're exactly right. Rob executed his own men because they killed Lannister prisoners, we got fukking Edmure still alive and shyt. Randyl Tarly was a legend. You don't just off high born nikkas like that.
