When they had the argument after the war council and Jon said "what will you have me do" she said nothing but just hinted that he doesn't know Ramsay and is walking into his trap. She also apologized for not telling Jon about the Vale. Either way she wasn't letting him know about the Vale but telling him they need more men, Jon was big on we fight with the people we have and Sansa was being coy about her play which she parlayed into her claiming victory. They wouldn't get Winterfell if Jon didn't go in blind with the troops he had to draw out Ramsay creating the opportunity for the Vale. Her plan also relied on Jon's ignorance about the Vale and the sacrifice of the men he had.

she's a decent actress. it's the writers. they're trying to paint her as this machiavellian character based off of nothing
when arya said she's the smartest person she knows i was thinking "based off of what"?
she's been a naive little girl for the entire show. there's nothing intelligent or enjoyable about her character.
I can understand blaming the writers or acting for not conveying it but it's clear that Sansa has gotten smarter and her peers have noticed it. From Arya last episode to Littlefinger, Tyrion, and Jon last season, various characters who've dealt with her when she was a naive little girl at the beginning of the series have explicitly remarked on how much smarter she's gotten in recent seasons.
Continuing to deny her growth is just blind Sansa hate at this point.
But what about after she saves their lives? Is she going to burn everyone, like she did with Sam's father and brother, who don't think that she's fit to rule or disagrees with her?
THERE IS NO REASON TO BE WARY.
SHES THERE TO SAVE THEIR fukkING LIVES.

It's not some made up justification, it's the truth. The wildfire Cersei used to blow up the Sept was just a portion of what the mad king had his pyromancers stash around the city waiting to be used. we obviously needed a detour to essos to know what the second sons are up to, what's good with the faceless men, and a check in on the travels of the unsullied from casterly rock to winterfell....because nothing else important happenedJamie shows up at Winterfell.

she's not, she's not amazing either tho. but awful is emilia, she's been a disservice to dany from inception, but at least she started out the first 3 seasons as a baddie, she's aged poorly to only be 32 IMO....them lines around her eyes were fierce.
