Was anybody who was actually at Hardhome involved with murking Jon? That's one big difference from the books. Nobody made it back from Hardhome before Jon died.
I brought that up to basically say that people aren't going to care about the dead unless they actually see them. But even then though, go all the way back to season 1 when the 2 dead brothers of the NW went after Lord Commander. Everyone at Castle Black knew about that. After the battle for Castle Black Jon said to make sure the bodies were burned and everyone knew why. Almost forgot about what happened at the Fist of the 1st Men. Several members survived that attack. So even after all that shyt, there were still a few that were more focused on what was right in front of them instead of looking ahead at the bigger threat, which is what most of the North is doing right now.

someone remind me why the fukk cersei wanted elephants again :wtf:
In the books the Golden Company had war elephants. Get several of those on the battle field and they're going to do way more damage than men mounted on just horses. IMO it was a nod to book readers and explain ahead of time why the elephants won't be appearing on the show.

DANY HAD EVERY RIGHT TO KILL THOSE STUBBORN b*stardS.

nah, expecting an old head like Father Tarly to bend the knee out of fear right after battle was already foolish, but even if you go through with that killing his son was even worse. Snow Man already broke this down:

"I will not punish a son for his father's sins"

Not true.

Dany agreed to help Jon and said they would do it together as partners but Jon threw that away and bent the knee anyway. Even Dany was like "what about the people that swore allegiance to you?:ld:"

Then he came home and lied about it.

Eh....

He lied because he never gave a fukk about being a king. But the Northern lords would never understand that. He even tried to tell them "a title isn't important" and Lady Lyanna was like :dahell:

So he framed it as "to get help, I had to give up my crown".

Then, in private talking to Sansa he point blank tells her "I never wanted the crown". He tells Sam the same thing.

So let's not sit here and act like he lied for no reason.

I didn't say he is lying for no reason. I'm just making it clear that he IS lying. And the North and Sansa are justified in questioning him about why he gave up their independence to this foreign chick he clearly has oogly eyes for, especially after watching Robb fukk up everything over some p*ssy.

There is no reason Jon couldn't have come back to Winterfell as King, with Dany and her massive army and dragons as help to fight. That would have been seen as a huge victory in the North and would have had everyone inspired and ready to fight with zero animosity. He could have worried about putting his crown aside after the fight was over. But he went with the emotional decision instead and came home having to lie to try and keep everyone in line (which has already failed, with House Glover abandoning him).

THIS MAKES NO SENSE.

DUDE SWORE ALEGIENCE TO MARGERY AND THE HIGH GARDEN...

CERSEI WIPED OUT THEIR WHOLE FAMILY TREE
AMONGST OTHERS...

NOW HES READY TO DIE FOR CERSEI?

THEY EVEN OFFERED TO SEND HIM TO THE KNIGHTS WATCH...

HE SAID NO AND THE PHONY PIECE OF shyt GOT WHAT HE DESERVED.

THE SON WASNT PUNISHED FOR HIS FATHERS SINS....

HE HAD THE CHOICE TO BEND THE KNEE
AND CHOSE THE FIRE.
HIS FATHER EVEN TOLD HIM TO BEND THE KNEE.

SO YOU HAVE NOTHING TO STAND ON.

THESE DUDES THOUGHT THEY COULD GRAND STAND,
CALL HER BLUFF, AND GET TOSSED IN A CELL
WHILE MAKING HER LOOK WEAK.

I gotta cut you off right there.

The reason is, he don't give a fukk about being king. He never asked for it. Never campaigned for it. The Northern lords thrust that title upon him. And to keep the peace he accepted it.

And he abandoned the title at the earliest possible moment, which was "bending the knee" to Dany.

That's it.

I'm not saying it was a good plan. Or smart. I'm not even saying, him wanting to fukk Dany didn't play a role in it. I'm saying it's not entirely unexpected, given who he is.

So yeah, I understand the logic behind the North and Sansa questioning him....but all that shyt is irrelevant. Dude is talking about the end of the world and they're focused on titles. He ain't got time for that shyt. And honestly if House Glover or whoever can't accept that then they deserve to die. :manny:

It's not some made up justification, it's the truth. The wildfire Cersei used to blow up the Sept was just a portion of what the mad king had his pyromancers stash around the city waiting to be used. If Jamie doesn't kill him the city and the half a million people in it would've been burnt to a crisp.

Like I said, if Daeny can't see the contradiction in pressing Jamie over that when she killed Sam's father for less Snow will give her that pill she needs to swallow.
Bro. The Tarly's were basically the Boltons. They committed treason against the Tyrells to side with Cersei. Olenna was an ally of Dany's. They killed all the Tyrells and their bannermen who they were sworn to. Dany was MERCIFUL in offering them two opportunities to live. Either they could bend the knee or go to the Wall. The Tarly's were disloyal trash. Sam doesn't know the details, and apparently neither do a lot of people watching the show given many of the comments I've seen across various forums.
