Bro. The Tarly's were basically the Boltons. They committed treason against the Tyrells to side with Cersei. Olenna was an ally of Dany's. They killed all the Tarleys and their bannermen who they were sworn to. Dany was MERCIFUL in offering them two opportunities to live. Either they could bend the knee or go to the Wall. The Tarly's were disloyal trash. Sam doesn't know the details, and apparently neither do a lot of people watching the show given many of the comments I've seen across various forums.

Dany in season 2 and 3 was for me. That qarth shyt was so trash.

Season 3 Dany was pretty hype. This is one of the best moments in the show.

I brought that up to basically say that people aren't going to care about the dead unless they actually see them. But even then though, go all the way back to season 1 when the 2 dead brothers of the NW went after Lord Commander. Everyone at Castle Black knew about that. After the battle for Castle Black Jon said to make sure the bodies were burned and everyone knew why. Almost forgot about what happened at the Fist of the 1st Men. Several members survived that attack. So even after all that shyt, there were still a few that were more focused on what was right in front of them instead of looking ahead at the bigger threat, which is what most of the North is doing right now.

In the books the Golden Company had war elephants. Get several of those on the battle field and they're going to do way more damage than men mounted on just horses. IMO it was a nod to book readers and explain ahead of time why the elephants won't be appearing on the show.

Bro no one alive anywhere in the known world in this series has experience fighting dragons. What happens when those elephants catch fire to the face, panic, and start crushing the GC's own men?

This ain't a spoiler the news has been out there who is directing all these episodes so my prediction right now is we are getting a big battle episode in episode 3 and 5 I don't think that tells us anything in the way of who is winning what, both episodes are over 80 minutes so I'd guess they are gonna be tearin shyt up beginning to end with that

The next ep looks like another setup episode. More fighting with Jaime and what to do, more set up, more planning in kings landing

Ep 3 is all out war. Ep 4 is picking up the pieces along with setup for battle 2. Ep 5 is battle two. Ep 6 is wrapup.

The reason is, he don't give a fukk about being king. He never asked for it. Never campaigned for it. The Northern lords thrust that title upon him. And to keep the peace he accepted it.

And he abandoned the title at the earliest possible moment, which was "bending the knee" to Dany.

I'm not saying it was a good plan. Or smart. I'm not even saying, him wanting to fukk Dany didn't play a role in it. I'm saying it's not entirely unexpected, given who he is.

So yeah, I understand the logic behind the North and Sansa questioning him....but all that shyt is irrelevant. Dude is talking about the end of the world and they're focused on titles. Who cares if Sansa is justified??? How are her feelings going to help against the army of the dead? Will this new cleverness help defeat them? No. So why are people focusing on it?

Yup, Dany really had no choice, but to kill him. He betrayed his liege lord how could she possibly trust him? It was probably a mistake to even offer him the black. As far as he was concerned she wasn't a Queen. Given the chance he would've went straight back to Cersei. The one thing she could've done was taken his son as hostage to ensure his loyalty.

I know you didn't quote me but I'll come out and say I called this shyt last season. I said Dany will start beefing with Jon Snow because she's fixated on the crown, and he obviously has a claim to it. Even if he don't want it.

Now, that ain't happened yet....but given how she's acting in Winterfell it seems imminent.

Anybody focused on anything other than the Night King at this point is on some clown shyt.

the whole escaping to the iron islands if needed isn't 100% foolproof. as long as the ice dragon is alive, the night king can fly there and burn shyt up.

it's a reprieve from the army of the dead tho, at most, breh can ride him and his white walker generals there. which could be a great way for the team to win, if they kill the walkers, all the wights die and the war is over. dragons & murder on the iron islands
